“Mathematical Models and Methods in the Study of Traffic Flow”

Under the auspices of Istituto Nazionale di Alta Matematica -
Gruppo Nazionale per la Fisica Matematica (INDAM-GNFM) and University of Ferrara
Aim of the meeting is to provide an updated state of the art in the mathematical modeling of vehicular traffic flow, including microscopic, kinetic and macroscopic modeling, as well as to highlight the analytical and computational methods used in their analysis.
Due to the interdisciplinary subject, the conference is open to contributions from different areas of mathematical and numerical analysis, physics and engineering.
The two-days meeting will be articulated in general (1 hour) lectures followed by a number of communications (1/2 hour) on recent progresses and results.

Researchers interested in attending the workshop and in contributing with a ½ hour talk are asked to download and fill the form below, and to return it at the conference address (by e.mail or by fax) within March 31.

Ferrara is a beautiful hystorical city located in north-east Italy, not far from Bologna (40 Km) and Venice (110 Km). In addition to the museums, in spring the city offers many exhibitions, so that it is definitely nice and stimulating spending a week-end in Ferrara.
