hobbies

mathematics ("in the large"); reading (the classical: Stendhal, Proust, Shakespeare,...); listen to music (pop, classical, traditional. My favourite: Jimi Hendrix "the Grothendieck of electric guitar", or should I say that Grothendieck is the "Jimi Hendrix of algebraic geometry"? I don't know but for sure it seems as if they both came from Mars); making music (guitar, keyboards and electronic gadgets; my wife and my children ask me each time to close the door... :-\ ); computers (the very recent (12/1999) passion: programming in Java :-)))
